Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (the Terms) govern your access to and use of the Scout’d mobile application and any related services we provide through the app (together, the App).
The App is operated by SCOUT’D LTD (Scout’d, we, us, our), a company registered in England and Wales, with a business address at F9 Allen House Business Centre, Station Road, Sawbridgeworth, England, CM21 9JX.
If you have any questions about these Terms, you can contact us at team@scoutd.uk.
By creating an account, accessing, or using Scout’d, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
1. Who can use Scout’d
Scout’d is currently intended for football players.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the App. Users under 16 are not permitted to sign up or use Scout’d.
Scout’d is operated from the United Kingdom. You may be able to access the App from outside the UK, but you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App is lawful where you are.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and when using the App.
You may only create an account using your own details. You may not impersonate another person, create an account for someone else, or mislead others about your identity, football history, club affiliation, or achievements.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that takes place through your account.
You may only hold one account per email address unless we expressly agree otherwise.
3. About Scout’d
Scout’d is a player platform that allows users to:
- create and manage a player profile;
- upload football-related profile information, photos, and highlight videos;
- log match performances and football-related data;
- interact with other users through a shared social feed, including likes, comments, and follows; and
- appear in rankings and other discovery features within the App.
Scout’d may change, improve, suspend, or remove features from time to time.
4. Player profiles, match data, and ratings
Scout’d allows users to submit football-related information, including profile details, club history, highlights, and self-reported match performance data.
This may include information such as playing time, score, goals, assists, cards, penalty saves, Player of the Match awards, and self-evaluation scores.
Scout’d has created a bespoke rating system to help give a guide on player performance and ability. This includes metrics such as Scout’d XP, Scout’d Match Ratings, and Scout’d Rating. Information about how these are calculated is available in the Scout’d Ratings Explained section in the Settings menu.
These ratings are algorithmic estimates based on information submitted to the App and other signals available within the platform. They are provided as a guide only. They are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose, including scouting, recruitment, or selection decisions. We encourage scouts, coaches, clubs, and users to watch players in person and make their own subjective assessments.
5. Verification, reports, and false information
Match data on Scout’d is self-reported by users.
Other users may be able to verify another player’s logged data or report match entries they believe to be false. Reported entries may then be reviewed manually by the Scout’d team.
Following review, we may decide that:
- the data is verified as true and no action is taken;
- the data cannot be verified and no action is taken;
- the data is verified as false and we edit, remove, or annotate it; or
- repeated or serious misuse has occurred and the user account is suspended or banned.
You must not knowingly submit false, misleading, manipulated, or dishonest data, including false club affiliations, false match information, or misleading claims about your identity or football background.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you upload or submit to Scout’d, including profile content, photos, videos, comments, captions, and match data (User Content).
However, by uploading or submitting User Content, you give Scout’d a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, format, publish, display, distribute, and make available that User Content for the purposes of operating, improving, promoting, and developing Scout’d.
This includes using your User Content within the App, on Scout’d social media channels, in marketing materials, in product screenshots, in app store materials, and in other promotional content relating to Scout’d.
You confirm that you have the rights necessary to upload and share your User Content, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
7. Match footage and content featuring other people
Football content may naturally include other players, coaches, officials, and spectators. By uploading match footage or other content, you confirm that you have the right to upload it and to allow Scout’d to use it in accordance with these Terms.
You must not upload content that is unlawful, abusive, invasive of privacy, defamatory, sexually explicit, hateful, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate.
If a person, club, league, parent, guardian, or other rights holder contacts us with a legitimate complaint about content, privacy, safeguarding, or permissions, we may remove the content, restrict access to it, or take other action without notice.
8. Acceptable use and community standards
You agree not to use Scout’d to:

9. Visibility of content and user responsibility
Scout’d is a signed-in platform. User profiles, posts, highlights, rankings, and most player data are visible to users of the App.
Some self-evaluation data may have different visibility settings within the App. However, you are responsible for the content and information you choose to publish.

10. Our rights to moderate and enforce

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, submitted false information repeatedly, misused the platform, or created risk for other users or Scout’d.
We may also cooperate with law enforcement, regulators, football authorities, or other relevant bodies where we reasonably consider it necessary.
11. Intellectual property
The Scout’d name, logo, branding, software, design, content structure, ratings systems, and all intellectual property rights in the App belong to Scout’d or its licensors.

14. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scout’d will not be liable for any:
- loss of opportunity, loss of selection, or loss of recruitment prospects;
- reputational harm;
- reliance on ratings, rankings, data, comments, or user-submitted information;
- loss of content, loss of data, or interruption of service;
- conduct, statements, or content of other users; or
- indirect or consequential loss.
Our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the App or these Terms shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
15. Termination
You may stop using Scout’d at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access in accordance with these Terms.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should continue after termination will remain in force, including those relating to content rights, intellectual property, liability, and dispute resolution.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let users know through the App or by other appropriate means.
Your continued use of Scout’d after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
